Paulding County Hospital is committed to continually providing excellent care to the patients and families we serve. We wanted to inform our community, hospital and clinic patients, visitors, providers, staff, and families of our focus on providing the safest environment possible for healing.
Currently, Paulding County Hospital has been operating under a visitor restriction policy due to influenza, allowing no one under the age of 18 to visit patients. The coronavirus (COVID-19) and influenza are spread between close contact of individuals and respiratory droplets produced by an infected individual coughing or sneezing. The visitor restrictions will remain in place at this time. This restriction was put in place for the safety of our patients, our staff, and your families.
COVID-19 has now been confirmed in the state of Ohio as of Monday, March 9. We would like to urge you to be cautious as this disease will continue to spread in the coming weeks. Listed below are a few helpful reminders when scheduling an appointment at Paulding County Hospital or at one of our clinic locations.
1. Please immediately notify hospital personnel if you have any of the following symptoms:
- Fever
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
2. If you have recently traveled outside the United States within the last 21 days, specifically to:
- Iran
- Italy
- Japan
- Mainland China
- South Korea
3. If you have been in close contact with someone diagnosed or suspected of having COVID-19. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure.
Upon entering any Paulding County Hospital location please wear a mask, if exhibiting #1 and #2 or #3 listed above are true. Please contact us prior to your arrival by calling the specific hospital service directly that you are trying to reach, or have a scheduled appointment with.
