Heart Smart CT scan

Heart Smart CT Scan

There are numerous conditions that can affect your heart health, many of which exhibit few or no symptoms. Many of these conditions go undiagnosed until there is a serious problem. Don’t wait, early detection can save your life!  Paulding County Hospital Imaging Department is now offering Heart Smart CT scans to our community. Our Heart Smart scan is also known as a calcium scoring scan.

What to Expect During the Exam

The Heart Smart scan is a simple, 15-minute, non-invasive scan that can detect coronary artery disease at an early stage. During the exam you will not feel any pain nor will you receive any injections.

Scheduling a Heart Smart CT scan

Speak with your provider about obtaining a Heart Smart CT scan as part of your annual check-up and wellness efforts.
If your healthcare provider feels you qualify for a Heart Smart CT, they can write an order for the scan, help you schedule it, and provide follow-up as necessary. A Heart Smart scan is a cash-pay screening exam.  You will pay a one-time fee of $50 on the day of your exam.  This fee includes the exam itself as well as a professional reading the report.
