Flu season is just around the corner, so protect your family by getting flu shots.

Walk-in Flu Shots are available for individuals age 6 months and up at five convenient Paulding locations.

PCH Main Campus – Can’t make it during regular office hours? – No problem. Come to the Paulding County Hospital Main Campus any time and get your flu shot.

Or visit your primary care provider during regular business hours at any of the following locations:

This year we are exclusively offering quadrivalent flu vaccine. Quadrivalent flu vaccine protects against more strains of the influenza virus than previous flu vaccines.

Cost for flu shots is $35 for cash pay patients.

Paulding County Hospital is partnering with the Paulding County Veterans Service Office to offer free flu shots for veterans.

To receive this benefit, veterans must get a voucher from the Paulding County Veterans Service Office at 810 E. Perry St. (next to the Health Department). You must present your military ID or show proof of honorable discharge to receive the voucher. Veterans Service Office hours are 9:30 a.m to 2 p.m. Tuesday – Friday.

Once you receive your voucher, you can get your flu shot at the Paulding County Hospital main campus, 1035 W. Wayne St., Paulding.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends a yearly flu vaccine as the first and most important step in protecting against flu viruses.

A group of 48 community members learned how exercise can help Delay the Disease during an event Tuesday, Sept. 24 lead by Jackie Russell of OhioHealth.

According to OhioHealth.com, “OhioHealth Delay the Disease™ is an evidenced-based fitness program designed to optimize physical function and help delay the progression of symptoms associated with Parkinson’s disease.

The Parkinson’s-specific exercises are designed to retrain the mind and body. Many participants report a regained ability to successfully manage the disease, improve their quality of life and take back control over their own body movements. Delay the Disease fitness plans include symptom-specific exercises and also address daily functional challenges, such as rising from a chair, getting out of the car, moving about in big crowds, dressing and getting off the floor.”

Paulding County Hospital announced that Andrew Wannemacher has been named the new Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Andy brings 16 years of healthcare experience to the role. Andy began his career at Paulding County Hospital starting in 2012 and has aided in the hospital receiving the Auditor of State Award twice in the past few years.This award is presented for excellence in financial reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and compliance with applicable laws for a fiscal year.

In 2012, he helped to implement the hospital’s current electronic medical record system (EPIC). In 2015, Andy helped Paulding County Hospital move to a new payroll system and implement several additional financial services. These systems have enhanced the financial operations at Paulding County Hospital.

In his new role as CFO at Paulding County Hospital, Andy will continue to enhance the financial operations at Paulding County Hospital.
